7 #ridejoystick Instagram Photos of Places We'd Like to Ride
Let's face it. Travelling to exotic places with your bike is probably the coolest thing ever. New terrain. New trails. New dirt for your tires to bask in. Exploring on a bicycle is the the perfect marriage of humans and machines.
As much as we would love to blow our time and savings on jet setting across the world (and paying all those dastardly baggage overage fees), sometimes we have to settle for one road trip a year or simply staying at home and appreciating the trails in our own backyard. But that doesn't mean we can't get inspired. And if there's one thing that Instagram is good for, it's inspiration. We rounded up some of our favourite photos (with our product and/or the #ridejoystick tag) on this fleeting social media platform to help get you inspired for your next biking adventure.

This beauty was taken from atop Skiddaw (931m), the sixth highest mountain in England near Keswick in the Lakes District. UK mountain biker Stu Taylor is lucky enough to race and ride around the world, but has this view to look forward to when he comes home. Splendid.

There's nothing like a steep and loose line to get the hear rate going. Swiss photographer and adventurer Armin Wurmser gets his fill in the Sticky Forest near Wanaka on New Zealand's South Island. Photo by @teeneegee
I try to make some notes about some key stuff Of each stage after practice. Notes from Stage 8 was - "kolla bara på stigen för helvete" that is swedish for keep your eyes on the trail for fuck sake! Other than that me and the guy on my tail has had a brilliant day of practice again and I am looking forward to a big day on the island tomorrow for day one of racing! @davetrumporephoto with the shot! #ewsmadeira #ibiscyclesenduroraceteam

A new stop on the Enduro World Series calendar for 2017 was Madeira, an archipelago off the coast of the northwest of Africa an autonomous region of Portugal. A challenging course for the riders but some amazing scenery to distract them from the trail in front of them. Ibis Cycles Enduro Race Team rider Robin Wallner making some pre-race notes. Madeira immediately shot up on our travel wish list after we saw this shot taken by Dave Trumpore.
sorry I have to post this cliché pic from #zermattmatterhorn ,we had this beauty of mountain in front of us the whole day 🏔😍☀️ thanks @zermatt.matterhorn for having and showing us your best trails - today was AMAZING 🙌🏼 #trailparadise #mtbswitzerland #zermatt #noshortcuts #monsdirt #myhappyplace #scottcontessa #evoc #ridejoystick #polarglobal #mtbadventures #mtbgirl #myswitzerland #swissalps #inlovewithswitzerland #mtblife #ridebikesbehappy @ski.bike.zermatt @romanhaller 📸 @ben.wurmser

Swiss rider Tina Gerber has been posting some amazing photos of her travels but we can't seem to get enough of her native mountains of Switzerland. The Matterhorn in Zermatt is a sight unto itself and we can't think of a better day of alpine riding than having this monolith in our periphery. Read more about her adventures with her partner (and taker of this photo) Amin Wurmser at outsideisfree.ch
Sweet pic from Pukey Lukey, shredding trails in the sun is always a winner, counting down the days to heading away again. #ewsorbust #privateerlife @amclassicwheels @hktproducts [email protected] [email protected] #lovesbackwheel #dhmtb #downhillmtb #ukmtb #mtblove #mtblife #bikelife #cycling #sendit #summer #jersey #ci

We couldn't resist to throw this one in. British privateer EWS racer and stone mason Rich Payne likes to get sendy on occasion, but our favourite pic from him so far this season was riding through this sunny field of flowers somewhere in Great Britain. Those Analog bars sure look good, don't they? Photo taken by Rich's mate, known on Instagram as Pukey Lukey.

We've heard plenty about the riding at trail centers in Wales, but this feature at Antur Stiniog Cyf takes it up a notch. Harvey didn't tag the friend who took his photo, but we're sure they'll work it out over some beers later.

Because we love our furry trail buddies! JP Swinny from the Cotic team pauses with his pooch during a sunrise in Sheffield, England. Sometimes a cruise with the dog is all you need.
